The Latvian version concentrates on providing important information for Latvian businesses wanting to understand more about the EU environment within which they operate and the focus is on “looking outside Latvia’s borders” to help Latvian businesses cope with business challenges in the wider Europe.
Our English language version has greater focus on investing in Latvia within the context of being an EU member state. In this section, we have included a comprehensive guide to doing business in Latvia and have linked the section to a number of important articles discussing the way that Latvia has implemented EC Directives, in many cases comparing the way that Latvia has achieved this with other Member States. We have also provided an important section showing in many ways how Latvian tax law might differ from that in other member states and we have linked this to a number of other useful documents.
